One option for television advertising is to buy commercial spots on cable.  Because of the vast amount of channels, commercials aired on cable can be targeted to a very specific marketing demographic.  In addition, cable is also broken up into zones which allow spots to be purchased for a relatively small geographic area, which is perfect for businesses with only a few locations.

Currently, cable offers limited opportunity to broadcast commercials in HD.  Hopefully, this will change in the near future.
